The Seeds of History

By

This poem was talked about in class, first focusing on the history line and later in a harkness. I would like to use the history line to analyze the lurking problems that hide in society. Things like racism, climate change, sexism, and homophobia are some of these problems that hide behind systematic issues. The progress or lack thereof of these issues really highlight the phrase “drip in darkness.” This is because these issues and their history are in the periphery, and are seemingly imperceptible. Death and resurrection are key themes in this poem. This represents how society is ever changing, always growing and regressing.
